Only if he could escape her mind
No longer will she drag the memories behind
Thoughts leave her in a state of unrest
Holding the desire that’s pounding in her chest.
He planted a seed inside her head
The flower is growing, it’s not yet dead,
Approaching the skies and reaching for you
Something so beautiful, noble, and true.
The rule still stands, one must be devoted
She withered inside as about him she doted
Cupid shot without an aim
One heart gone and one in flame.
Remembering the moments they had once made
She stood tall, confident, and unafraid
Like a flower beginning to bloom
Just as the moment that ended too soon.
Desire dried up the flower to death
Leaving her with just one single breath.
Now too timid and ever so weak
Forever is lost, she’s unable to speak
Goodbye to a journey they will never know
Their Love is a flower that never shall grow.

Half smiling look and hazy eyes
Unsure of what to do
Afraid to say goodbye.
Last glance into a mothers face
A hand still held
Small heart is beating out of place.
Destination made has come to stay
A chance has passed
Too late to walk away.
Can’t fly back, so hold your tears
Forget what’s been
Time strikes for brighter years.
Some said You’ll be well better of
Some said You should have stayed
Some said, now kid it’s up to You
But once it’s done, decision’s made.
She could’t bear to look and wave
Into the lonely stares
As moments passed a tear had rolled
But nobody was there.
Upon dark streets of city lights
Snowy Decembers, lonely nights
Another figure may appear
It’s that look I sought to fear.
Stony gaze right past the eye
Without a word we said goodbye
Crumpling footsteps heard in snow
God was watching us bellow.
And not much time had passed
I thought that we may meet at last
But this was just a wishful memory
Of all that we could never be.

Upon their first encounter,
She noticed his sweet smile
As if her heart had melted
She stared for quite a while,
As he approached much closer
Their eyes locked to a stare
At first few words were spoken
She knew none could compare,
The most perfect moment
Described with out a word
As if all sound had faded
He had stepped (forward),
Danced the night away
Memories in making
Beneath the starlit sky
She was now awakened,
Smile again then an embrace
To keep in memory the past
She said hello he said goodbye
Those moments were their first and last.

I thought I’ve seen you here before
but never got the chance to say goodbye
as you walked out of that door
with out saying why.
Things disappear so many times
and we don’t even realize,
how much time in our lives
is wasted right before our eyes.
So love the one you want to love,
don’t let your chance fly by
because you may never know,
when it’s time to say goodbye
