Where Adventure Hides

In the moments of absolute happiness
In the curious smiles of children
In the broken paths of the woods
In the steps of our feet
In the questions to our answers
In the abandoned crevices of old buildingstumblr_mldask92JP1rjv16co1_500
In the rusty cathedral bell towers
In the endless fields of scattered flowers
In the dark corners of our basements
In the print filled pages of our libraries
In the smell of pine needles and cookies during Christmas
In the freedom of music and dance
In the laughter of those who have known pain
In the scent of white birch forests touched by morning dew
In the first twenty seconds of courage
In the forgotten silence of the wind
In the graffiti painted walls by the train stations
In the sounds of flipping pages through the isles of a bookstore
In the multi-cultural inhabitants of the loud cities
In the poverty-stricken cottages of a lonely world
In the eyes of forsaken children without mothers
In the noises of the occupied playgrounds
In the piles of multicolored leaves in October
In behind the fences that we climbed
In the puddles of last evenings rain
In the golden glow of the moons face
In the bitter cold air after a laden snowfall
In the rush of sledding down a huge hill
In the fragrance of fresh watermelon on a summer’s day
In the words and paintings of long dead artists
In the photographs of dusty, old scrapbooks
On the streets where we grew up.

Do you remember…
Do you remember…

The Inner Heart in Outer World

The memory had faded as he melted in her eyes
She could sense a little fear crawling up inside
Too afraid to show it, she couldn’t help but cry
Everyday she grew apart never knowing why.
A weeping moan was heard with every line she’s spoken
The words that bounced inside her head had finally been broken
She wanted to remember for a second in a glance
What may be lost forever or might remain its chance
Tried to think much deeper, but words came to a blank
She gazed up at the mirror above the kitchen sink
And all the hopes had faded when her eyes met reflection
She knew it wasn’t love he’s for, the catch is for perfection
The memory grew clearer when moments passed like days
She steped outside to breathe, he molds her into clay
Her thoughts became quite simple “true beauty’s found within!”
Looks don’t last forever, as lust turns into sin.

Bittersweet Times

If you were here with me tonight
With arms wide open, I’d hold you tight
I swear I’d never let you go again
Your touch is smooth but burns my skin.
The mention of your name brings joy and pain
Oh how I wish I’d changed my life for you to gain.
Thoughts of you won’t leave my mind
Remind me what we left in timebitter
The lonely nights I spend in sorrow
The roads we walk are way too narrow
This heart is fragile, about to break
I give and give, you take and take.
Was this not who we’re meant to be?
Like a bird you fly so free,
No need to grant apologies,
I just wish that it was me.

Some Fast Pace Lives

Look at the years that passed us byboys
All they say is ‘how did you get so old?… oh my!’
With out realizing, how many times
we don’t glace enough into each others eyes,
Listening to the sounding melodies
And all the little cries,
Short life filled with regrets
And empty lies
Nervousness creeps inside
That it causes butterflies
People always changing lives
Trying to catch one by surprise
Putting masks on as disguise
Shooting for stars
But only reaching the skies
In the end, they will know,
When all the laughter dies.
